A sculptural Italian chaise lounge designed by Guido Faleschini in the 1970s. The adjustable, fluid form is anchored by a polished chrome-plated steel frame that arcs in a continuous loop, elevating the lounger in a moment of suspended ease. Upholstered in ribbed black leather, the seat appears to float just above its tubular base, offering a subtle recline.
Guido Faleschini (1935–2006) was an Italian architect and designer known for his refined take on modernism. Trained in Milan and at the Athénée de Lausanne—where he later taught architecture—Faleschini began designing furniture in 1960. His most iconic work, the Tucroma series for i4 Mariani, became a hallmark of 1970s luxury interiors, celebrated for its bold use of leather and chrome.
His designs were widely specified by architects for residential, corporate, and hospitality projects across Europe and North America. Today, his pieces are held in design museums and coveted vintage collections, credited with defining the quiet opulence of 1970s Italian design.
