HOT ! Edwardian Style Suffragette Bee Necklace Peridot Pearl Amethyst

This fabulous bee lavaliere necklace is adorned with a violet amethyst thorax, green pear cut peridot abdomen and wings studded with white cultured pearls.

Jewellery displaying the colours green, violet and white were often worn in support of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) which was at the forefront of the UK suffrage movement in the early 1900s. They adopted these three colours to highlight their key virtues: Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, and also formed the phrase “Give Women Votes!”  

The bee pendant and curb chain are fashioned in sterling silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold. It\'s very colourful and would make a wonderful gift.
