1. Dundalk LeisureCraft Responsibilities:

  Building and Packing: Assemble and pack your product(s) securely for safe transport.

  Shipping: Coordinate with a trucking company to arrange delivery to your home.

2. Trucking Company Responsibilities:

  Appointment Scheduling: Contact the customer to set a delivery appointment.

  Delivery: Deliver the crate to the end of your driveway or curbside.

    Note:a. The trucking company is NOT responsible for unloading the crate.b. They will NOT back their truck into your driveway.c. Deliveries are typically made using an 18-wheel truck for large items. Ensure the truck can access your road or neighborhood.

  Unloading Plans: Decide how to unload the crate from the truck.

    Crate Size Considerations:

    
    
    
    
    • 
      Crates under 92” (7 feet): A lift gate may be available to assist in unloading.
    
    
    • 
      Crates over 92” (7 feet): A lift gate will NOT be available. The customer must plan unloading.
      
    
    
    • Lengths range from 6 to 14 feet.
    
    
    • Weights range from 800 to 1600 pounds for large items.
      
    
    
    
    
  
  
  • 
    Suggested Methods:
    
    
    
    1. Use a forklift or similar equipment.
       
       
       
       • Ensure fork extensions are used and pick the crate up from the end.
       
       
       
       
    
    
    2. Rent a tilt tow truck to pick up the crate from a local terminal for home delivery.

  Damage Protocol:

  
  
  
  
  • If the crate arrives damaged:
    
    
    
    1. Accept the shipment.
    
    
    2. Take pictures of the damage.
    
    
    3. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL) with the remark: “Crate arrived open/damaged – Possible Hidden Damage.”
