HOT ! Vintage New York Athletic Club Naval Flag Rowing Sterling Silver/Enamel Bracelet (B2382)

Description

A very interesting vintage sterling silver bracelet.  It is comprised of lifebuoy links interspersed with naval signal code flags in enamel.  The flags spell out NYAC for New York Athletic Club and the central ring has the NYAC winged foot logo in silver and enamel.  It tests as sterling silver and there is a weakly struck sterling mark to the clasp.  The clasp is of fold over clip design and is working fine.  A very unusual find probably early to mid 20th century in period. 

The NYAC is famously associated with rowing which fits the design of this bracelet.

To fit wrists up to : 18cm

Material : Sterling Silver / enamel

Weight:  12.56 grams (before packing) 

Condition:   Generally good for period with the enamel in good order.  Some minor wear and patina to the reverse.  Clasp working fine.  A nice find.
