This elegant console is assembled from two cast iron bistro table bases, likely dating from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century, paired with an old marble slab to create a refined and practical surface suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The creamy white marble top with soft grey veining has gently rounded corners and a lightly worn edge that reflects age and handling. Beneath it, the pair of cast iron pedestals feature graceful turned stems rising from wide circular bases, while delicate scroll brackets support the stone and add decorative interest. The iron retains a dark, weathered patina with light oxidation that contrasts beautifully with the pale marble. The marble slab has two small holes on each side designed to receive the metal tenons from the bases, a traditional method used to secure the stone top.
