• This is a vintage 1950s Elgin Self-winding Shockmaster men\'s automatic wristwatch with a gold-filled case and a brown leather strap. 


• The watch features a mechanical automatic movement, likely an Elgin caliber 643, that is shock-resistant. 


• It has an off-white or champagne dial with gold-colored Arabic numerals at the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 o\'clock positions and dauphine-style hands. 


• The case is 10k gold-filled, and the back is screw-down. Swiss. 17 Jewels, Unadjusted. 


• \"Shockmaster\" is a design feature where the balance wheel pivots are mounted in a spring suspension system to protect them from damage.
