The silver & 20k gold elis is a special piece handmade by Balan in the ancient way, with a blowpipe over a fire. These are for protection and fearlessness and are filled with tiny treasures to symbolize the meaning.

After they are made they are blessed in a ceremony by Balan at his family temple and are ready to wear!

They are rare and precious because they only come from this region in India (northern Kerala) and because they are made in the ancient way with a blowpipe over a fire. It’s a dying art that very few people in the world can do. Balan has been doing this since he was 8 more than 70 years. 

Each pendant is completely made by hand and the sizes vary slightly.
