This rug comes from Wiss, a weaving village in Iran with a tradition rooted in bold tribal craft. Wiss rugs are known for their striking geometric medallions, angular motifs and stepped tribal symbols arranged with a strong sense of symmetry across the field.

The designs are structured and precise, with detailed borders that frame the composition firmly. The motifs carry the visual language of tribal weaving, protective symbols and repeating patterns passed down through generations of weavers working entirely from memory.
