Sitting lower than most chairs with a seat height of 15 inches, this chair originally served in a parlor with traditional upholstery on its back and seat. Recently, the upholstery was replaced with oak, and the entire chair was refinished with American walnut stain, enhancing the natural grain. In addition to the chair\'s lovely finish, it features a shaped cresting rail with decorative carvings and turned front legs, which terminate in castors.
