Its non-nano zinc has a patented coating that not only ensures uniform particle size and dispersion, but also decreases its photoreactivity and results in a 65% decrease in free radical formation from UV and pollution. The formula is both SPF 50 and PA++++, providing excellent broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection; it also protects from 82.2% to 92.5% of blue light, thanks to the encapsulated iron oxides that make up its uniquely flexible shades.

Those encapsulated iron oxides are the little flecks that you see in the formula; when applied to the skin, they release their color, which is kind of fun and exciting.
